Pre-K
The Growing Place at Stroudsburg Middle School
For the first portion of my teaching experience, I completed student teaching hours in a prekindergarten classroom one day a week at The Growing Place at Stroudsburg Middle School located in Stroudsburg, PA. This experience included project-based planning, practicing of formative assessment taking, and behavioral observations.
Below, you will see artifacts created during my Pre-K experience along with a brief description!

This artifact was a project-based unit plan. This was planned for a two-week learning unit. The topic that was chosen was rainforest animals. The plan consisted of numerous play-based and art-based activities that the students could engage in to learn all about rain forest animals. Students engaged in an interactive safari created by my partner and I.
This artifact shows a classroom management plan that I created for my pre-kindergarten classroom. It highlights management plans within the physical environment of the classroom, the social environment and community of the classroom, and the routine and schedules of the classroom.
This artifact represents my observations of a child who was part-taking in make-believe play during center-time. It shows the student's ability to use cognitive and motor skills to perform in a center.
